What we learned from the dietary guidelines are wrong and is the cause of many illnesses.
Many illnesses like arthritis, type 2 diabetes, depression, MS, asthma, hypertension, Parkinson's disease, Alzheimer's disease, constipation, bipolar disorder, non-alcoholic fatty liver disease, auto immune diseases, allergies, obesity, Psoriasis, Dermatitis, Eczema, etc. are being reversed with the Carnivore diet.
Why people are fat and get sick is not what you may think.

 Insulin resistance is the cause of heart disease and diabetes. Insulin resistance is caused by consuming too much carbohydrates and sugar. (unsaturated seed oils also contribute to insulin resistance, see video nr 60.) Your liver converts carbohydrates and sugar to glucose and because of excess saturation with glucose on the cellular level, the glucose is dumped in the blood stream. Here the glucose causes inflammation and thus prompt cholesterol arterial wall repair. Cholesterol now finds itself being accused of being the cause of heart disease, but this is not true. Excess glucose and by extension excess carbohydrates consumption are to blame. Furthermore your triglycerides count (a form of cholesterol) goes up with excess glucose present in the body, triglycerides are stored as fat cells around the liver. This is called (Nafld) Non alcoholic fatty liver disease, Nafld is however reversible with the carnivore way of eating. Insulin resistance is better described as chronic hyperinsulinemia, it means you have regular high insulin levels. See videos 60-68 on this blog. 

Insulin regulates the salt and uric acid retention in the kidneys and insulin resistance up-regulates salt retention in the kidneys. To reverse hypertension, gout and arthritis, reverse insulin resistance, to reverse insulin resistance, eat less carbohydrates 

The carnivore diet is the ultimate elimation diet, we are cutting out all unsaturated seed oils, oxalates, lectins and other plant defense mechanisms which may be the cause of inflamation.

Chronic hyperinsulinemia is the major contributor to dementia, Alzheimer's disease and type 2 diabetes.

Insulin resistance up regulates uric acid and salt retention on the kidneys, this is the cause of high uric acid levels and hypertension in most cases.

Gout and arthritis start at a uric acid level of 7, but what if you are at 5.5 which is still high. 55% risk for vascular dementia, 38% risk for cardio vascular problems and 32% risk for a stroke, all because of high uric acid levels.

Diabetes start at 6.5 glucose, but what if you are at 5.6?

My mission is to reverse pre-diabetes, Type 2 diabetes, hypertension, high uric acid levels and insulin resistance (chronic hyper insulinemia).

I am a 4 year carnivore.

I reversed my non-alcoholic (metabolic) fatty liver disease, high blood pressure and headaches within 2 months with the Carnivore diet, eating only animal products, no fruit, no vegetables, no grain, no starches and no nuts. I also use no seed oils to cook with but use butter or animal fat.  I also lost 12kg (22 pounds) of excess body mass.

A liter of milk has 47 grams of carbohydrates in it and can cause sweet cravings to stay, it can take you out of ketosis and milk can cause inflammation in the gut, joints, skin and brain. Since I stopped drinking milk and started using bullet proof coffee (butter with black coffee), my cravings went away, I want to exercise again and I am more positive. Butter has zero carbohydrates and is an excellent source of fat for energy. 


Carbohydrates are converted to glucose within a half hour after consumption but two hours later you are hungry again when glucose levels are depleated.  Repeating excesive carbohydrate consumption up-cycle insulin resistance causing chronic hyperinsulinemia and too much insulin makes us fat.

With the carnivore way of eating we consume very little carbohydrates at all. (Cheese has some carbohydrates.)
With the carnivore diet we do not become hungry in-between meals, this is because we are satiate. 

The reason why other diets often fail is because of calorie restriction, starving yourself cannot be sustained and weight is gained back quickly. With the carnivore way of eating we are not constantly hungry because meat is very nutrient dense and bio available, we do not calorie restrict thus our energy levels are more consistent. 

The reason for this consistent energy levels is we are in ketosis, the metabolising of fat for  energy as opose to glucose for energy when on a high carbohydrate diet. The carnivore way of eating is part of the proper human diet spectrum, see video nr 85.

The Five rules of the Carnivore diet.
 1. Only eat animal products.
 2. Only eat when you are hungry. Make sure you really hungry and not just eating for emotional or social reasons. See food as an energy source, not as a reward or something to lift you up. Change your relationship with food. Eat as regular as you want, type 1 diabetics should eat more than once per day.
 3. Eat until you are not another bite full. Do not calorie restrict.
 4. Don't put sweet tastes in your mouth.
 5. Only cook with animal fats, real butter or saturated oil such as PURE olive oil, coconut or palm oil. 

Up to 80% of olive oil on the market is diluted with up to 90% Sunflower or Canola oil. Sunflower oil become a trans-fat when over heated and clog up your cells. Canola oil still has toxins in that repel insects, it is a natural insect repellent. Do not cook with unsaturated oils such as Canola or Sunflower oil which clogs up your cells and makes you insulin resistant. All seed oils can become rancid too. Over heating any oil makes it unsafe to consume.
